The mission of the Casita Coalition is to unlock the power of neighborhood-scale homes in California for everyone.

Providing housing choice and opportunity for people of all ages and stages of life, in every community, is an essential foundation for a California where all can thrive. 

We are a trusted statewide coalition of diverse members committed to this mission.

We are Casita Coalition.

Casita Coalition is the only statewide, multi-sector organization that brings together all key players to remove policy barriers, making a big impact through neighborhood-scale homes. Working through our Board, Advisory Committee, and Working Groups, we draw on the diversity of expertise and experience of our members to make it easier to build middle homes in all neighborhoods across California and to share solutions with our growing number of practicing professionals, across disciplines and geographic regions, so we can learn together and implement quickly to build the middle housing ecosystem.

 

By building the middle, we can accomplish great things.

Neighborhood-scale homes - such as ADUs, duplexes, granny flats and cottage clusters - can help meet our changing needs while addressing the broader housing challenges in California.
